A discussão ao redor do grafite e da pichação sempre foi polêmica, principalmente porque um é considerado legal e a outra ilegal. O grafite consiste no desenho de um determinado profissional que utiliza sua arte como forma de expressão. A pichação, por outro lado, não é assinada por um “artista” específico, qualquer um pode fazer e se expressar. Por conta disso foi considerada ilegal, já que em muitos casos, a intenção com a pichação é caracterizada como vandalismo.

O grafite é uma arte que tem se popularizado entre os jovens, e não é estranho, ao andar pela cidade de Imperatriz, se deparar com belos desenhos em muros e fachadas, sejam eles grandiosos ou mais simples, ou até mesmo frases de efeito. Os desenhos, de diferentes artistas, têm servido até como plano de fundo para ensaios fotográficos. Por isso, escolhemos desenvolver esta temática, entendendo melhor o universo do grafite com a entrevista de dois grafiteiros profissionais.

O primeiro entrevistado foi o grafiteiro ZEN. Muitos não o conhecem por nome, mas suas artes já deram muito que falar, principalmente no Campus Centro da UFMA. Boa parte das artes presentes dentro da Universidade são de sua autoria. Entre elas estão os desenhos de ambos os banheiros masculino e feminino. O desenho da TV presente em uma das paredes da Sala 01 e o de uma personagem feminina no orelhão na entrada.

Com muita educação, ele abriu as portas de sua casa para o nosso grupo e aceitou responder algumas perguntas a respeito do tema.

IN: Como você lida com as críticas?
Z: O grafite nada mais é que a evolução da pichação. É algo de forma mais bonita de estar se fazendo a escrita, ou uma marca de um grupo, ou uma homenagem. E eu acho que é para isso que serve a arte mesmo. É para criar pensamentos, se é para gente estar fazendo poesias e frases de paz e amor e o desenho veio pra isso, para impactar. E, às vezes, a gente precisa jogar pesado no rosto da pessoa que tá vendo para ele pensar. Se gerou crítica, é porque ele saiu dali pensando naquele desenho. Se gerou esse pensamento na cabeça dele, eu tenho como missão cumprida. Mais um pensamento plantado na cabeça de uma pessoa que eu não conheço. Ele vai passar o resto do dia pensando no que ele viu, pela manhã, dentro do buzão, indo para o trabalho dele, um proletariado triste. Vamos evoluir. A arte também é rua, cultura. E cultura e arte estão sempre na nossa vida.

IN: Quando isso começou?
Z: Eu faço desenho desde pequeno. Eu fui evoluindo e há 20 anos eu trabalho com arte do extenso sozinho, mas eu gosto de ter amigos ao meu redor que trabalham com extenso também. Então, Imperatriz como não tem pessoas que trabalham nessa área, eu de vez em quando faço minicursos para ter amigos que possam contribuir com a arte do grafite. E minha missão é mais ou menos essa: continuar com as oficinas e, assim, poder propagar mais a arte.

Imperatriz Notícias: O que você busca passar por meio do grafite?
Zen: Bom, o que eu busco é uma forma diferenciada de passar a minha mensagem sem que seja nos padrões normais ou nos padrões do que eles estipulam que é arte. Eu acho que gosto de trabalhar do caos sobre o caos. Que assim vai se transformar na arte.

IN: O que te impulsiona a fazer os desenhos?
Z: O que me impulsiona é o dom do desenho. É o cheiro da tinta. É a adrenalina. E a forma fácil da gente poder estar passando a mensagem de forma rápida, não sempre posicionada com a ideia, mas para o caos, para a pessoa abrir os olhos para o que realmente estava vivendo ao redor dele. Porque a vida não é um mar de flores e nem de rosas. Nem tudo é colorido. A vida é cinza. É preto. É vermelho. É sangue. É mais ou menos o que eu tento passar nos meus desenhos e a vida não é colorida.

IN: O que te impulsiona a fazer os Desenhos?
EA: O que me impulsiona a continuar a fazer o grafite é justamente as pessoas elogiarem pelo trabalho feito, isso faz com que a gente se alegre com os resultados e, automaticamente, me anima a continuar na prática desse tipo de trabalho.

IN: Como você lida com as críticas de pessoas que não sabem a diferença entre grafite e pichação?
EA: Na verdade, as críticas ainda não chegaram até a mim. Mas, realmente, têm muitas pessoas que não entendem a questão do grafite e da pichação. O grafite é algo mais elaborado, mais calculado. Já a questão da pichação, ela é mais sem nexo, não tem arte nisso. Então, eu vejo que a pichação é algo assim… mais vandalismo. Já o grafite não. O grafite é uma arte mais bem elaborada. Bem trabalhada. Tudo bem calculada. Então, eu vejo esse tipo de diferença. Agora algumas pessoas não sabem diferenciar. Alguns anos atrás houve uma polêmica que o prefeito de uma cidade saiu apagando todos os trabalhos de rua. E isso causou muita polêmica. Também vi a questão das pessoas não saberem o que é grafite e o que é pichação. Mas existe diferença sim.

Imperatriz Notícias: O que você busca passar por meio do grafite?
Edney Areia: O que eu procuro passar através do grafite, para as pessoas, é que elas possam ter acesso à arte e ter essa facilidade, que elas possam passar na rua e prestigiar coisas que, culturalmente falando, é meio complicado assim para as pessoas terem esse acesso. Então, culturalmente falando, eu acho que a cidade necessita muito ter essa acessibilidade para que todo mundo possa prestigiar os trabalhos e a arte.

EA: Bem, artisticamente mesmo, eu comecei aos 15 anos de idade numa pintura de salão de videogame na época. Acho que era no ano de 1995 mais ou menos comecei esse tipo de trabalho e de lá pra cá não parei mais. Gosto muito desse tipo de trabalho. É uma coisa realmente que me satisfaz muito mesmo e já tem alguns anos que trabalho com isso, então é assim. Eu gosto também dessa arte. É a forma de expressar aquilo que você deseja, que as pessoas possam fazer uma homenagem, um tributo. É isso que eu gosto: chamar a atenção das pessoas, fazer com que as pessoas possam ver, possam refletir naquilo que é feito.
